Freeway Pedestrian ID'd; From Van Nuys
The man was on the Hollywood Freeway when he was struck and killed.

The coroner on Wednesday released the name of a Van Nuys man killed when he was struck by a pickup truck while running on the Hollywood (170) Freeway in North Hollywood.
He was 42-year-old Phillip Prorhorov, said coroner’s Lt. Larry Dietz.
The fatality occurred at 3:40 a.m. Monday on the southbound 170 at Sherman Way, said California Highway Patrol Officer Alex Rubio.

Prorhorov was struck by a red Toyota Tacoma, according to the CHP. The man driving the pickup truck, a 51-year-old North Hills resident, was not injured.
The man now identified as Prorhorov was pronounced dead at the scene, Rubio said. It was not clear whether he got onto the freeway on foot or got out of a vehicle.

The CHP’s West Valley office asked anyone who saw the accident or saw Prorhorov before the crash to call the agency at (818) 888-0980.
