Grass Fire Extinguished Near 170 Freeway

Firefighters Wednesday quickly extinguished a small grass fire near the northbound Hollywood (170) Freeway in North Hollywood.

The fire was reported near Magnolia Boulevard about 8:15 a.m., according to the California Highway Patrol.

The flames scorched less than a quarter acre of grass, and were extinguished within a few minutes, the Los Angeles Fire Department reported.
