“Every year, millions of people get the flu, and hundreds of thousands of individuals end up in the emergency room or hospitalized,” says Richard Silverstein, MD, assistant area medical director, Kaiser Permanente Panorama City Medical Center. “It’s highly recommended that the most sensitive populations, which include the elderly, pregnant women, babies that are six months and older, along with those with chronic health conditions – get vaccinated, to protect their health and the health of those around them.”
Additionally, flu shots are available at all Kaiser Permanente Panorama City Area medical office locations, including North Hollywood, Mission Hills, and Santa Clarita on weekdays during regular business hours. Visit www.kp.org/flu for a complete list of clinic locations and hours, and for more information about preventing or treating the flu.
