LeBron James' LA Visit Prompts Pining And Billboards

Billboards wooing NBA great LeBron James or #LABron to the Lakers popped up across Los Angeles ahead of the Cavaliers' visit.

LOS ANGELES, CA — Flirting is always funner when it’s forbidden. And Thanks to the NBA’s pesky rules against tampering, there is nothing the Lakers can officially do to woo NBA superstar LeBron James until his current deal with the Cleveland Cavaliers expires. But that’s not stopping LA Lakers fans from showing some love to King James, arguably the best player to ever don sneakers.

James’ Cavaliers will be in Los Angeles for a Friday game against the Clippers and Sunday tip-off against the Lakers. Personal injury attorney Jacob Emrani is putting up four billboards going up around town Wednesday, all entreating the three-time NBA champion to choose Los Angeles as his next NBA home, Emrani's office announced.

A photo showing one such billboard on Westwood Boulevard, featuring the hashtag #LABron, was posted on Twitter on Wednesday morning. Emrani is not the only fan wearing is heart on his sleeve. Lebron billboards have popped up in other cities too, including Philadelphia. Two weeks ago, a Philadelphia company had three billboards installed in downtown Cleveland, just minutes from Quicken Loans Arena, indicating the city's desire to have James join the 76ers.

James was the subject of an intense bidding war in the summer of 2010, ultimately choosing to sign with the Miami Heat. Four years later he returned to his original NBA home in Cleveland, but he'll be a free agent once again after the NBA season ends in June.

King James already has at least one home in sunny LA...so here’s to hoping!
