Man Killed In North Hollywood Hit-And-Run, Suspect On The Loose
A car driving north on Lankershim Boulevard hit a pedestrian walking in a crosswalk Wednesday evening.
NORTH HOLLYWOOD, CA — A man was killed in a hit-and-run car crash in North Hollywood Wednesday night, and the suspect was still on the loose Thursday morning.
The crash happened around 6:55 p.m. Wednesday night, as a silver or white BMW sedan was driving north on Lankershim Boulevard. The car collided with a man who was walking in a crosswalk at Stagg Street, and continued to drive off after hitting the victim.
LAFD paramedics pronounced the man dead at the scene. The victim was described only as a man in his 40s, and his name was withheld until family could be notified.

The car is a 2010-2012 silver or white BMW sedan with severe damage to the front end. A suspect description wasn't available.
"Drivers are reminded that if they become involved in a collision, they should pull over and stop as soon as it is safe to do so, notify emergency services, and remain at the scene to identify themselves," LAPD said in a statement. "The public is reminded to cross the streets in a safe manner, use the traffic lights, cross inside the crosswalk, and obey rules of the road."

A reward of up to $50,000 is available for information leading to an arrest and conviction. Anyone with information about the crash was asked to call Officer Martinez at 818-644-8022.
