Multi-Car Crash On Southbound 5 Freeway Requires Ambulance
A car was on fire on the North Hollywood Way off-ramp according to California Highway Patrol.
NORTH HOLLYWOOD, CA — A multi-car collision on the southbound 5 freeway involving five cars caused a significant traffic slowdown Thursday afternoon. The incident occurred near the North Hollywood Way exit around 2:48 p.m.
The crash blocked the outermost three lanes on the freeway and one car was on fire on the Hollywood Way off-ramp according to California Highway Patrol. An ambulance and two tow trucks were sent to the scene to treat potential victims and move the damaged cars.
A SIG alert was issued at 3:07 p.m. shutting down three lanes on the freeway for one hour.
