New WaBa Grill Opens In NoHo With Free Delivery All Month

NORTH HOLLYWOOD, CA — WaBa Grill, a Southland-based restaurant chain that prides itself on serving healthy rice bowls and teriyaki plates, this month opened its newest locale in North Hollywood. And due to the fast-changing, COVID-related, open-close mandates, the eatery is offering free deliveries through July.

The new NoHo establishment is on Lankershim Boulevard in the Arts District.

"To provide some relief to guests, now that most of the brand’s dining rooms have been ordered to close once again, WaBa Grill is offering free delivery for orders placed via the WaBa Rewards App or the company website through July," company officials said. Curbside pick-up, takeout and third-party delivery also are available.

Founded by friends Panos Grivakis and Byung Kim in 2006 with City of Industry headquarters and nearly 200 stores in California and Arizona, Waba Grill serves up such menu options as chicken, shrimp, salmon and steak plates with its signature "WaBa Sauce," rice, salad and fruit, along with protein-and-veggie bowls, miso soup and dumplings.

The new North Hollywood restaurant, at 4821 Lankershim, boasts the chain's revamped decor with updated lighting and furniture, plus exposed-wood and iron-accent detailing.

“We are very excited to be the ones to unveil WaBa’s new design while making the brand’s healthy bowls, plates and salads more accessible to our fans in North Hollywood,” Grivakis said. "Although dining rooms are closed again, our menu items are perfectly packaged with enhanced safety measures to be enjoyed on the go; just make sure to check out our new look when you pick up your food.”
