North Hollywood Man Struck And Killed By Train

NORTH HOLLYWOOD, CA — Authorities Tuesday identified a 33-year-old North Hollywood man killed Metrolink train Monday afternoon.

Jorge Jimenez died on the 11000 block of West Vanowen Street, where he was struck by the train at about 1:15 p.m. Monday, according to the coroner's office and the Los Angeles Fire Department.

Jimenez was struck by the Ventura County Line 109 train, which was bound for Moorpark. The train was stopped between the Burbank Airport-South and Van Nuys stations while an investigation was conducted.
