Pride Celebration To Be Hosted By St. Matthew's Church

The celebration will include drag bingo, live music, a fashion show and more.

NORTH HOLLYWOOD, CA — St. Matthew's Lutheran Church in North Hollywood will host a Pride celebration this weekend, with proceeds benefiting the San Fernando Valley LGBT Community Center. The event will take place this Saturday from 2 p.m. — 5 p.m. at the church, located at 11031 Camarillo St.

The celebration will include drag bingo hosted by Nicki Licious, live music from Murphy Bug, a fashion show and food. The fundraiser aims to bring in $1500 for the LGBT Center.

"Pull out your old sequined dress and heels, or find those leather chaps you've been dying to wear (over shorts please!--no nudity!) and come SHOW YOUR PRIDE for a good cause," St. Matthew's said.

Established in 2008, the community center works to uplift the LGBTQ individuals in the San Fernando Valley, especially those who are Latino. The center offers career development, scholarships and grants, youth & adult workshops, counseling, an arts program and more.
