“You can help avoid future heart problems by making healthy changes today,” says Sami Azzam, MD, chief of Cardiology at Kaiser Permanente Panorama City Medical Center. “You can reduce your risk of heart disease by making simple lifestyle changes, like engaging in regular activity, keeping a diet high in fruits and vegetables, and getting regular screenings from your doctor.”
