A few readers recently asked what's going on at Hughie's Liquor, a shop in a plaza at the corner of Magnolia and Laurel Canyon boulevards in Valley Village that's seemingly been closed since last week.
While a posted sign on the front door says "out of business," the shopping center's leasing agent told Patch that the store is undergoing a transfer of management within the owning family.
Shirley Lai, a regional leasing director with Westwood Financial Corp, said Hughie's Liquor should be reopening soon.
