Traffic Diverted At Burbank Airport Due To Broken Gas Main
A major gas leak has stopped all traffic near Hollywood Burbank Airport while crews work on the issue.
NORTH HOLLYWOOD, CA — A broken natural gas main has caused a traffic diversion near Hollywood Way and Winona Avenue in Burbank. The major leak was reported around 11:15 a.m., with Burbank Fire the first to respond to the scene.
All traffic was blocked in the area while crews worked to fix the issue. Go511 showed heavy traffic along Hollywood Way near the airport all the way back to Vanowen Street.
MyBurbankNews reported the main entrance to the airport was closed, and that travelers should use the Empire entrance.
