Two Killed In North Hollywood Traffic Crash
A speeding car crossed over the median on Vineland Avenue, striking a pedestrian and multiple parked cars.
NORTH HOLLYWOOD, CA — Two people were killed in a traffic collision in North Hollywood after a speeding driver crossed over the median and struck a pedestrian and parked cars. The crash happened around 6:26 p.m. Saturday on Vineland Avenue near Oxnard Street.
LAPD said the car was traveling southbound on Vineland Avenue when he crossed over into northbound traffic and ran off the roadway. The car, a gray Saturn ION, hit a pedestrian and multiple parked cars before coming to a stop.
Paramedics responded and pronounced the pedestrian dead at the scene. The victim was later identified as 36-year-old Edgar Kocharya of North Hollywood.

Three people were freed from the car and taken to nearby trauma centers, where one woman was pronounced dead. The condition of the other two victims wasn't immediately known.
It was unclear if the driver was cited or arrested, according to William Cooper of the Los Angeles Police Department.
