Week Ahead: Trivia at the Federal, Northeast NC Meets and More

Monday

Think you're the king or queen of random knowledge? Prove it. Head to the Federal Bar at 8 p.m. for the latest installment of the new King Trivia event. 5303 Lankershim Blvd.

Head to the Studio City Library for a free seminar entitled "Grow Your Business: Tax Incentives & No Cost Services." Key representatives from select city, state, local agencies and departments will explain their free services and pertinent programs that help nurture business creation and economic growth in and around Los Angeles.  Among those attending will be reps from the the City of LA Economic & Workforce Development, Governor's Office of Business & Economic Development, LA Worksource, LA BusinessSource, Valley Economic Alliance, and tax specialists. Tuesday

Jazz group the Silver Lake Trio will play their free weekly show starting at 8 p.m. at Bob's Espresso Bar. 5251 Lankershim Blvd.

NoHo resident and pianist Randy Emata will be performing in the back lounge of the Federal Bar. He specializes in playing the smoother groovier side of jazz/R&B/pop along with Michael Reason on drums and William Matthew Taylor on bass. Show is free and starts at 8 p.m. 5303 Lankershim Blvd.

It's open mic night for aspiring and amateur comedians at The Other Door bar from 7-11 p.m. 10437 Burbank Blvd.

Wednesday

The Art Institute of Hollywood in NoHo is hosting an art bazaar featuring the works by many of its students. Check out crafts for sale with a $3 entry free that gets free pizza for the first 50 people to show up. Event is from 3-7 p.m. at 5250 Lankershim Blvd. Click here for more event info. 

Head to the Studio City Branch Library to discuss the new health care law, how it can impact you, and what affordable healthcare options are available to you and your family. Thursday

Take a trip back in time with live DJs spinning classic hip hop and R&B tunes at the Federal Bar for Snapback Thrusdays. No cover. $5 well drinks and $2 PBR's.

Berman Ceramic Arts, now in its 41st year in the heart of the NoHo Arts District, will present its annual exhibit and sale the weekend of Nov. 23-24.
More than 40 artists display their hand-crafted ceramic artworks, from functional everyday objects to one-of-a-kind sculpture.  Founded by Harry Berman in 1972, Berman Ceramic Arts (www.bermanceramicarts.com)
