Congressman Huffman Joins Problem Solvers Caucus

WASHINGTON — Congressman Jared Huffman (D, San Rafael), who represents Marin County, has added his name to the membership rolls of the bipartisan Problem Solvers Caucus, according to a release from his office. The 40-member group is committed to “fixing, not fighting.”

“I'll be joining a few dozen colleagues from both sides of the aisle in wearing the Problem Solvers pin at Tuesday's State of the Union address," Huffman said in a release. "We won't agree on everything, but this bipartisan group at least wants to engage with each other in good faith to get things done on behalf of our constituents. Perhaps this simple dialogue will help lead to a more civil and solution-oriented Congress—not because we’re compromising our principles, but because we’re committed to solving problems instead of just fighting about them." 

 Huffman serves on the Natural Resources Committee and the Committee on the Budget in the 113th Congress, and has joined several official House caucuses that will enable him to work with colleagues on the issues that matter to his constituents, including the Progressive Caucus, the Sustainable Energy and Environment Coalition, the Congressional Labor and Working Families Caucus, and the Pro-Choice Caucus.
