Congressman Jared Huffman (D-CA) announced Saturday the terms of a friendly wager with fellow freshman Congressman John Delaney of Maryland. Huffman, a San Francisco 49ers fan, represents the Second District of California, which spans from the Golden Gate Bridge to the Oregon border.
“I am so confident in the 49ers that I’ve staked a bottle of Sonoma’s amazing wine, along with some of California’s wild salmon,” said Huffman. In exchange, Delaney has wagered crab cakes and microbrew from Maryland, where he represents the Sixth Congressional District.
“I know we have the superior cuisine and that our Harbaugh will prevail,” said Huffman.

Delaney and Huffman were both sworn into office in January of this year, and the two have adjacent offices in the Longworth House Office Building in Washington, D.C.
