Can we finally admit how USELESS MASKS actually are?

Why do we wear the mask? To prevent us from getting or spreading the virus, right? Right. Let’s use a little critical thinking: We wouldn’t wear a mask if they didn’t work, right? Of course not. So they must work, right?
So since they work, that means they trap COVID-19 particles inside the mask and outside the mask, right? Good I’m glad we’ve got that established.
So now, every time you and your kids pick up your masks, you all touch potentially millions of trapped viral particles contaminating your masks, don’t you? And how many times do you pick up those masks - every hour, every day? Add it up.

So unless you’re washing your masks each and every time you put them on and take them off - which no one will really do - you're committing the worst sin possible: You’re contaminating yourself, your kids and potentially everyone around you with a highly concentrated virus… Get it?

Of course you get it!

But you, your family and your friends will continue to WEAR the masks because — everyone else is wearing them and you’re afraid of being unpopular. And even when your OWN critical thinking tells you wearing them is pointless - and dangerous. But you’ll do it anyway, even when you know the consequences…

This is the new reality in Marin: A nonsense “feel good solution” that only contributes to the problem itself.

Now for the rebuttals:

“Yeah but what if it saves even one life?“ How would it possibly do that? By breathing in the trapped viral particles?

“My handkerchief is just as good as a mask.” Really? And why does the Surgeon General of the United States say that only a 95 -rated mask has any protection at all? And you’re walking around with a 50-cent bandana because someone convinced you it would actually do something.

Yeah but I just paid $150 for a custom made mask that looks really cool!” So?

“Yeah, but what if we didn’t wear masks? We’d breathe or cough or sneeze viral particles over everyone else!“ We have a 6 foot distancing rule. Explain how a virus particle will jump from your face beyond six feet....Hint: it won’t.
