Film Fest Launches in Nearby Sonoma

SONOMA, CA – The Sonoma International Film Festival began Wednesday in Sonoma with films from more than two dozen countries, organizers said.

The opening night gala was at 5 p.m. with the first film "Ladies in Black" at 7 p.m. at the Sebastiani Theatre and at 7:45 p.m. at the Meyer Sound & Dolby Hall at Vets 1.

For ticketed events, which begin Thursday, all the film venues are within walking distance of Sonoma's historic plaza.

The festival is in its 22nd year and concludes Sunday.
