Free SMART Train Rides For Vets, Active Military On Veterans Day

NORTH BAY, CA — Veterans, active-duty military and their families will get to ride the SMART train for free on Veterans Day.

Sonoma-Marin Area Rail Transit is offering free train service Monday with a valid military identification card or Veterans Administration identification card.

"SMART would like to recognize and say thank you to veterans, service members, and their families for all they have done for our country," SMART officials said in a press release.

SMART trains will run on the regular weekday schedule on Veterans Day.
