Novato Launches New ePermit Resource Center
The North Bay city is moving its permit process online with the hope that it will improve customer experience.
NOVATO, CA — Novato has launched a new permit database that aims to make it easier to access records.
The North Bay city launched its ePermit Resource Center Monday.
The new resource replaces the city’s One Stop Shop over-the-counter services with information necessary to obtain permits through the city’s self-service online permitting.

City staff from the Building, Planning, Engineering and Code Enforcement Divisions will be available to offer information on regulations, answer questions about individual projects, provide necessary paperwork and direction on processes.
Physical documentation, including permit applications, will no longer be accepted in-person at the service counter.

The ePermit Resource Center at the city’s Administrative Offices (922 Machin Ave.) will be available Monday through Thursday from 9 to 11 a.m. for walk-in services.
Permit research continues to be available online or by appointment.
