Novato Library Event Features Acclaimed Hip-Hop Authors

NOVATO, CA — The authors of a critically acclaimed book on hip-hop music and culture will be featured interviewed later this week in an event presented by the Novato Public Library.

Jeff Chang and Dave “Davey” Cook are the co-authors of “Can't Stop Won't Stop: A History of the Hip-Hop Generation.”

Their book provides the historical context of hip-hop music and describes its social significance .

Chang and Cook have won numerous awards for “Can’t Stop Won’t Stop” including the American Book Award and the Asian American Literary Award.

The duo will discuss hip-hop culture and their work on the definitive book on this genre.

The event is suitable for teens over the age of 12.

The event will be held on Zoom Friday at 5 p.m.
