Novato PD Busy with 3 Alcohol-Related Crashes in Short Span

Several crashes took place Friday night and early Saturday morning.

Two drivers were arrested early Saturday morning in Novato and face potential DUI charges, and another driver was injured in an alcohol-related wreck Friday night, police said.

The first of the three incidents took place in the 500 block of Sunset Parkway at 9:35 p.m. Friday. A driver lost control and rolled several times and damaged the front yards of three homes, Lt. Keith Heiden said.

The 19-year-old driver and a 21-year-old passenger had non-life-threatening injuries and were taken to a hospital by a Novato Fire District medical crew. Both occupants displayed signs of intoxication, but no arrests were made. Police are still investigating the incident and have asked any witnesses to call 897-4361.
