Novato USD Announces High School Reopening Plans
The NUSD is the county's first district to announce plans to reopen high schools.
NOVATO, CA — The Novato Unified School District announced plans Tuesday to welcome high school students back into classrooms next week for the firt time in almost a year.
The NUSD’s announcement follows Marin County moving into the red tier of the state’s Blueprint for a Safer Economy.
Under the NUSD’s reopening plan 9th and 10th grade students will start a flexible-in-person program Monday, and 11th and 12th graders on March 8.

Novato High School, San Marin High School and Marin Oaks High School will be on separate schedules, the NUSD said.

“We’re really excited to start bringing our high school students back to campus! March 13, 2020, was the last day our students were on campus together - nearly 1 year ago, Superintendent Kris Cosca said in a statement.
"While school will look different than it did in March of 2020, we are thankful that we have the safety precautions in place to start having all of our students return.”
