Ribbon Cutting Ceremony Set For Novato Downtown SMART Station

NOVATO, CA — A ribbon-cutting ceremony for the opening of the Sonoma-Marin Area Rail Transit District Novato Downtown Station is slated next week.

The event will take place at 10:30 a.m. Dec. 14, when limited weekend and holiday service will begin at the station at Grant and Railroad avenues. Full service will begin in January.

The event will include guest speakers and light refreshments. SMART will also accept unwrapped toys and gift cards for the annual SMART Holiday Toy Drive.
