SMART Launches New Train Schedule, Expanded Service For 2020
A SMART train will now arrive every 32 minutes to each of the 12 SMART stations connecting Sonoma and Marin counties.

NORTH BAY, CA — Sonoma-Marin Area Rail Transit is launching a new train schedule and expanding train service in the New Year.
The new schedule will feature more train trips, expanded service on weekdays, earlier service on weekends, and better connections to regional transit services, according to SMART. A SMART train will now arrive every 32 minutes to each of the 12 SMART stations connecting Sonoma and Marin counties.
"This increased frequency will provide more flexibility for work commutes and recreational trips alike," SMART officials said.

SMART recently expanded its rail line and opened two new train stations in Larkspur and Novato. The 45-mile rail line begins north of Santa Rosa near the Charles M. Schulz-Sonoma County Airport and now ends at the Larkspur Ferry Terminal.
