Temperatures Soar, Heat Advisory In Effect For Marin County
It was 80 degrees on Big Rock Ridge and 81 degrees on Mount Tamalpais at 7 a.m. Thursday. A heat advisory is in effect.
MARIN COUNTY, CA – It was 80 degrees on Big Rock Ridge and 81 degrees on Mount Tamalpais at 7 a.m., according to the National Weather Service, a foreshadowing of what's in store for Marin County, the North Bay and much of the Bay Area Thursday.
The NWS has issued a heat advisory for the San Francisco Bay Area through 8 p.m. Thursday. Widespread high temperatures of 95 to 105 degrees are likely across inland areas which will impact those who are sensitive to the heat, forecasters said.
The good news is that the heat wave breaks Thursday tonight. Temperatures Friday are expected to be 5 to 10 degrees cooler.

Residents are advised to stay hydrated, and head to cooling centers — senior centers, public libraries, shopping malls — if they don't have air conditioning.
