Volunteers are still needed for the parade this year, especially street monitors. Street monitors can volunteer alone or with their family, and they typically get a great view of the parade, according to volunteer coordinator Sophia Osotio.
Between 5,000 and 10,000 people are expected to attend the Novato Fourth of July Parade, which has more than 100 parade entries, Osotio said.
