Holiday Gift Buying: What Are The Least And Most-Used Kitchen Appliances of 2015?

Many enterprising holiday shoppers have already begun crossing items off their holiday shopping lists.

But for those who still have shopping to do, it pays to know what appliances peoplereally use in the everyday lives… and which they don’t.

Granite Transformations, a global full-service home and business remodeling franchise,recently polled 500 of its customers about their monthly usage of 16 common kitchen appliances.

Here’s what they found:

According to the survey, 80 percent of people use their coffee maker and knife block every day, so these should get prime real estate on your gift list. And more than 40 percent of people use appliances like slow cookers and blenders once or twice a week.

In addition, more than 80 percent of people polled said that they “never” use appliances like bread makers and deep fryers… so maybe it’s best to leave them off your shopping list.

Among the most-used items: glass dishes (57 percent use every day), wine openers (38 percent use once per week) and toasters (35 percent use once per week).

Among the least-used items: bread makers (88 percent never use), hand blenders (60 percent never use), fondue sets (76 percent never use), deep fryers (82 percent never use) and popcorn makers (76 percent never use).
