Man Drowns Off Pacifica Pier After Boat Incident: Police
The victim was found unresponsive by officers who pulled him ashore. Two other passengers on the boat survived.
PACIFICA, CA — A man drowned after an incident involving his boat at Sharp Park Beach near the Pacifica Pier on Wednesday evening, according to the Pacifica Police Department.
The victim, whose name is being withheld pending notification of next of kin, was found unresponsive by officers who pulled him ashore. Two other passengers on the boat survived.
Pacifica police were notified of the boat in distress just after 6 p.m. on Wednesday, according to a news release, and personnel from the North County Fire Authority and American Medical Response assisted in responding.
