UPDATED: Pacifica Schools Closed Friday Due to Tsunami Warning

Warning follows a major quake and tsunami in Japan.

Pacifica School District announced that schools are closed Friday because of a tsunami warning that has followed a major earthquake in Japan.

The district office and its departments are also closed, according
to the Pacifica School District.

The tsunami is expected to reach the California coast around 8 a.m., and wave heights of 2.8 feet were forecasted for Pacifica.
