Pacifica's Memorial Day Weekend Forecast: Warming Trend Coming

Don't let Friday's weather fool you. It's about to change.

PACIFICA, CA — Though Friday was predicted to be "unseasonably cool" with scattered showers, Peninsula residents and visitors can expect a warming trend to kick in this holiday weekend, forecasters said. High pressure is expected to build in the region, leading to warmer temperatures on Sunday through Tuesday especially.

Friday
A 40 percent chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 57. South southwest wind 11 to 16 mph, with gusts as high as 21 mph. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.

Friday Night
A 20 percent chance of showers before 11pm. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 52. South southwest wind 9 to 15 mph becoming west northwest in the evening. Winds could gust as high as 18 mph.

Saturday
Partly sunny, with a high near 57. West northwest wind 16 to 20 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph.

Partly cloudy, with a low around 51. Northwest wind 16 to 20 mph, with gusts as high as 24 mph.

Sunday
Sunny, with a high near 59. West southwest wind 9 to 11 mph.

Mostly sunny, with a high near 60.

Monday Night
Partly cloudy, with a low around 52.
