Rainbowfest a Success!
Pacifica’s third annual Children’s Music and Arts Festival, Rainbowfest, took place in the beginning of April on a beautiful spring afternoon. Over 500 guests passed through to enjoy some sunshine, great food, amazing kids activities, huge raffle prizes, flower crowns, music and an amazing concert put on by The Green Room.
Parents from Pacifica Co-op Nursery School worked together seamlessly to create this family fun day for the entire community to enjoy while raising funds for their children’s beloved Pacifica Co-op Nursery School. Erin Mustille and Kristen Philipkoski, Co-op parents and 2017 Rainbowfest Chairs, did an incredible job executing this successful event and bringing people together to support “Rainbow School” and all of the magic that it creates for children and their families.
Local businesses graciously donated their time and materials and created interactive booths for kids to explore. There was face painting, cookie art, dirt and water play, puppet shows, a 4-H petting zoo, a tie dye station, a photo booth, a pottery wheel and much more! Grown-ups were able enjoy beer, wine and delicious bites before making their way over to purchase a raffle ticket for the chance at some amazing prizes. The Green Room had kids and grown-ups alike happily singing and dancing the afternoon away in The Mildred Owen Concert Hall. As the day wound down, the last song was played and all of the raffle prizes had been claimed there was nothing but smiles on everyone’s faces. The day was a super success for Pacifica Co-op Nursery School in their fundraising efforts, but most importantly in their mission to create community and foster good old fashioned family fun!
