Ready - Set - Click: 2016 Fog Fest Photo Contest, Accepting Entries through September 16

Show your talent and inspiration! Pacifica and the San Francisco Bay Area abound with outstanding photographers and photographic opportunities. Get ready now to enter your photos in the 2016 Fog Fest Photography Contest, coordinated by Sanchez Art Center in partnership with the Pacifica Chamber of Commerce.

Four divisions provide you the opportunity to select an area that best fits your photographic interest and style. The divisions are: 1) Special Theme: In Fog we Trust; 2) Land and Sea; 3) Fauna (all creatures, including human!); and 4) Black & White.

Acclaimed Pacifica photographers Edwin Hacking and Sharron Walker are serving as this year’s judges. Both have traveled our Bay Area environs and around the world in search of the perfect shot. Entries will be accepted NOW through Friday, September 16, at two locations: Sanchez Art Center, 1220 Linda Mar Boulevard, (Sun.–Sat., 1–5pm) or Pacifica Chamber of Commerce office in Rockaway Beach, 225 Rockaway Beach Avenue, Suite 1 (Mon.–Fri., 10am–5pm). Each entrant must submit a Pacific Coast Fog Fest Photo Contest Entry Form and $10 fee (total for up to two entries regardless of division). There are no eligibility restrictions as to residency, geographic content, or contestant age. Photos must be framed and wired according to entry instructions. Photos will be exhibited at the Pacific Coast Fog Fest Art Corner, Sat.–Sun., Sept. 24–25. Cash awards will be presented to first ($100), second ($50), and third place ($25) winners in each division on Sunday at the Fog Fest, and an award certificate will be presented for Judge’s Best of Show. All award winners will be invited to participate in a group show to take place in the East Gallery at Sanchez Art Center, in late spring / early summer 2017.
