Search Continues For Boy, 12, Swept Into Coastal San Mateo Waters

The 12-year-old was pulled under the water about 100 yards offshore, according to Cal Fire.

HALF MOON BAY, CA — The U.S. Coast Guard was expected to resume its search Tuesday morning for a 12-year-old boy who was swept into the ocean in Half Moon Bay Monday evening, ABC7 reports.

Another child who is 8 and an adult who were with the boy were beaten up by waves but were pushed by the surf back to the shore at Cowell Ranch State Beach in San Mateo County, Cal Fire officials said.

The 12-year-old was pulled under the water about 100 yards offshore, according to Cal Fire.
