Summit Shasta recognized as a School of Distinction
Daly City high school recognized for academic achievement, innovation, and sharing best practices.

Summit Shasta, a public charter school in Daly City, was recently recognized as a winner of the Silicon Schools Fund School of Distinction Award.
“Summit provides a great example of schools that focus on what students need to succeed and how to best support teachers in reaching this goal,” said Silicon Schools Fund CEO Brian Greenberg.
The comments were made during a ceremony this month. Greenberg presented Summit Shasta Executive Director Wren Larson Maletsky, with a commemorative plaque. His visit included classroom observations and conversations with students and faculty.
The Silicon Schools Fund honors schools with the most impactful innovative approaches to education combined with outstanding academic results. In 2017, the first year the award has been given, eight schools were recognized with the School of Distinction Award.
