Tryouts Announced for Pacifica's 'Coastside Warriors' Basketball Team

The Coastside Warriors finished their inaugural AAU Basketball season with a 2nd place finish in the 2014 Heat Wave Tournament. The Warriors are made up of age 10, and under, boys from Pacifica and surrounding areas. The Coastside Warriors team was formed at the end of 2013 by dedicated parents. The Warriors are coached by Head Coach Francisco Ochoa Jr. and Assistant Coach Grant Palmer, who stress solid fundamentals, defense, team play and hard work. The Warriors were competitive in all four tournaments they participated in this year, the Warriors placed 2nd twice and third once.

The Coastside Warriors finished the season with a 7-3 mark and look to improve next season with the possible addition of new players. The Coastside Warriors, competitive AAU basketball team, will host tryouts on Saturday, Sept. 13 from 1-3pm at Terra Nova High School Gym in Pacifica, for 5th/6th grade-u 11 boys. (An Athlete in the 6th grade as of October 2014, must have been born on or after 9/1/2003) . Interested athletes are welcome to observe practice on Mon., Sept. 8 and/or Wed., Sept. 10 from 6:30-8:00.
