2 Arrested In Coachella Valley On Suspicion Of DUI
One arrest happened in Indian Wells, while the second happened in Rancho Mirage.

COACHELLA VALLEY, CA -- Two people were arrested early Saturday morning in the Coachella Valley on suspicion of driving while intoxicated. The first incident happened around 12:42 a.m. in the 75000 block of Highway 111 in Indian Wells.
The investigation revealed a black Nissan SUV, driven by Shelley Bunn, 66, of Palm Desert, was traveling within the private parking lot, when she collided with another vehicle that was parked at the location, police said.
Police said Bunn operated the vehicle under the influence of alcohol. She was booked into the Riverside County Jail in Indio for driving under the influence of alcohol.

The second arrest happened at 3:50 a.m. at Monterey Avenue and Gerald Ford Drive in Rancho Mirage when officers responded to a two-car crash.

Officers said Kevalyn Bharadwas, 23, of Torrance was driving a white SUV southbound on Monterey Avenue when he collided with a semi-truck.
Officers determined that Bharadwas showed symptoms of being under the influence of alcohol. Bharadwas was arrested for driving while under the influence of alcohol, and was transported to a local hospital as a precaution. Once treated, he was booked into the Riverside County Jail in Indio.
