1 Body Found, 3 Still Missing In Colorado River Crash

Two boats crashed Saturday in the area of Pirates Cove and the Topock Marina, north of Lake Havasu.​

MOABI REGIONAL PARK, CA -- One body was found, but three people were still missing Monday after two boats collided in the Colorado River. Authorities said the incident was reported at 8:03 p.m. Saturday in the area of Pirates Cove and the Topock Marina, north of Lake Havasu.

Mohave County Sheriff's Office said a Hallet boat, occupied by 10 people, was heading northbound when it collided with a Sleek Craft boat, occupied by six people. Several people were pulled from the water with nine people transported to nearby hospitals, authorities said.

On Monday morning, authorities said a woman's body was found but three people from the Hallet boat remained missing.

The Mohave County Sheriff’s Office with the assistance of the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department are conducting dive and search operations in the area of the crash.

The public was asked to use caution in the area as search operations were underway.
