Bank Robbery In Indian Wells, Bandit Sought

INDIAN WELLS, CA — An Indian Wells bank was robbed Friday, and the bandit made a clean getaway.

The robbery was reported about 1:30 p.m. at a financial institution in the 74-700 block of Highway 111, according to the Riverside County Sheriff's Department.

The amount of money taken was not disclosed, and it was unclear whether the robber presented a note demanding cash or brandished a firearm and ordered a teller to hand it over.

No injuries were reported.

By the time deputies reached the location, the robber could not be located.
