Body Found In Trash Bin In Gated La Quinta Neighborhood

LA QUINTA, CA — A body was found Thursday inside a trash bin at a residence in a gated La Quinta neighborhood.

Deputies were dispatched at 11:41 a.m. to the 43500 block of east Parkway Esplanade, according to Deputy Robyn Flores.

"Deputies arrived and located a deceased body inside of a trash can at the residence," she said.

Neighbors told KESQ that the house where the body was found may have been used as an end-of-life elderly care facility.

There was no immediate word about the victim's identity, and no arrests had been made as of late afternoon, Flores said.
