CatCity Man ID'd As Victim In Thousand Palms Killing

THOUSAND PALMS, CA — A Cathedral City man who died over the weekend after being found late Friday night with "traumatic injuries" has been identified by the Riverside County Sheriff-Coroner's Bureau.

Nathan Wells, 30, was found wounded around 11:51 p.m. in the 30900 block of Las Flores Way in the unincorporated area of Thousand Palms. Palm Desert Sheriff's Station deputies discovered him after being called to the address on a report of an assault with a deadly weapon, according to the sheriff's department.

Wells was transported to Desert Regional Medical Center in Palm Springs, but succumbed to his injuries at 1:17 a.m. Saturday, according to a coroner's report.
