CDMOD Hosts 'Touch-A-Truck' Fall Family Extravaganza

PALM DESERT, CA - From the Children's Discovery Museum of the Desert: The Children’s Discovery Museum of the Desert and Mitch’s On El Paseo present the 3rd Annual Touch-A-Truck Fall Family Fundraiser on Saturday November 4, from 10 a.m. to 2 pm. This year’s vehicle lineup includes, cranes, dump trucks, tow trucks, emergency vehicles and more!

Touch-A-Truck is a hands-on learning experience that allows attendees to look, see and touch vehicles of all shapes and sizes. Children love to explore and investigate, and unrestricted play is essential for healthy, cognitive development. Families will be able to interact with their favorite vehicles as well as meet the men and women who serve and protect our communities. Kid-friendly activities, face painting and delicious food make it the can’t-miss family event of the fall!

“The Museum is very excited to continue hosting this unique, interactive event for our annual Fall Family Fundraiser,” says Carol E. Scott, CEO. “We’re giving families a rare opportunity to climb on vehicles that are normally off limits. It’s also a chance to meet the people who use these vehicles to service our community.”

Funds raised through Touch-A-Truck will support CDMOD in its mission to inspire personal growth by engaging curiosity and creativity through hands-on exploration. As a valuable community resource for children and families, we offer an opportunity to experience the joy of learning about themselves and the world around them. The Children’s Discovery Museum is a 501c(3) organization and has served the Coachella Valley for nearly two decades. Touch-A-Truck Fall Family Extravaganza will allow the Museum to continue to enhance the quality of life of our community through programming in the areas of health, education and cultural development.

This family-friendly fundraiser is open to kids and adults of all ages. Pre-sale tickets for members are $12 each or $45 for a member family 4-pack. Tickets for non-members are $15 each and $50 for a non-member family 4-pack. Tickets can also be purchased at the door for $18.
