​Children's Discovery Museum Hosts July 4 Parade

Participants are invited to decorate a bike, trike, or stroller in patriotic style.

From CDMOD: The public is invited to join Children’s Discovery Museum (CDMOD) for an exciting Independence Day Parade at The River at Rancho Mirage (71800 Highway 111) on Saturday, July 1 at 5:30 p.m.Participants are encouraged to bring a bike, trike or stroller to decorate in true patriotic style beginning at 4 p.m. The event is FREE and open to all ages.

“The Fourth of July is a chance for families to come together to celebrate the special freedoms we enjoy as Americans,” said Carol E. Scott, Chief Executive Officer of Children’s Discovery Museum of the Desert. “The Children’s Discovery Museum’s Independence Day Parade allows participants to start their holiday weekend with a fun, exciting activity that they can also use on the Fourth of July while enjoying the holiday festivities with friends and family.”

“We are thrilled to have this partnership to celebrate Independence Day with the Children’s Discovery Museum of the Desert,” said Tammy Pshebylo, marketing director for The River at Rancho Mirage. “This event was a phenomenal success last year and we are excited to see all the families parade around The River.”
In addition to the parade, activities such as face painting and bubble exploration will be available for families to enjoy. Afterwards, participants are encouraged to have dinner at one of the many great restaurants The River has to offer, including Acqua California Bistro, Babe’s Bar-B-Que Brewhouse, the Cheesecake Factory, Five Guys Burgers and Fries, Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar, Fox & Fiddle, Gioia Italian Bistro, P.F. Chang’s and Yard House.
