And by cool down, we mean it will only be in the upper 80s.

By City News Service:
INDIO, CA - Hot weather is expected across the desert again Thursday, but forecasters said slightly cooler conditions may hit just as the second weekend of the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival gets underway.
High temperatures in the Coachella Valley were predicted to be 93 to 98 degrees today, 89 to 94 degrees Friday, 87 to 92 degrees Saturday and 89 to 94 degrees Sunday, according to the National Weather Service. Nighttime temperatures in the mid-50s to mid-60s are expected.

"Far inland, it will be nearly as warm as it was yesterday," according to the weather service.
But a trough of low pressure is expected to move inland from the Pacific Thursday night and Friday, pushing the clouds further inland.

"The rest of the weekend will be fair and dry, but temps will be closer to seasonal," according to the weather service.
Winds of around 15 miles per hour with gusts to 25 mph Friday are expected to ramp up to 20 to 30 mph with gusts to 45 mph overnight, but should die down somewhat Saturday, forecasters said.
"Brisk onshore winds will develop in parts of the mountains and deserts," according to the weather service. "On Friday those winds will increase and peak Friday night before gradually decreasing Saturday."
A "slight chance of showers" is in Monday's forecast for the Coachella area, according to the NWS.
