COD Welcomes New Career, Workforce Solutions Center Director
In this role, Robert St. Juliana will be supporting the economic vitality of the Coachella Valley, and more.

From COD: College of the Desert is pleased to announce its recent hire of Robert St. Juliana as its new Director of the Career & Workforce Solutions Center. Within this role, Robert will help the center towards its mission of supporting the economic vitality of the Coachella Valley, as well as developing relationships and introducing the center to the people and businesses that want to partner with COD.
The college’s Career & Workforce Solutions Center provides students with the tools and skills necessary to help them in their career development while also helping diverse Coachella Valley industries retain a skilled and educated workforce.
More than 21,000 current and past students have active center accounts. Over the past year, nearly 5,600 new people have used the center, which held a grand opening for the community in April. More than 850 new jobs have been posted over the past year as well. The center has made contact with nearly 1,250 employers.

Robert joins the college and center with eight years of experience in higher education. Most recently, Robert worked as a Director of Career Services for a private college in Indianapolis, Ind. There, he led community outreach efforts, student job-preparedness training, and internship and externship programs, giving students and graduates access to a robust network of employment opportunity upon graduation. Robert combines his experience in career services with his education, holding a bachelor’s degree in economics as well as an MBA with a concentration in entrepreneurship and small business.
