Coroner IDs Indio Man Killed In Hit-And-Run Crash
The man was struck at the intersection of Monroe Street and Avenue 42, and Indio police continue to seek witnesses.
INDIO, CA — A pedestrian who was struck and killed by a hit-and-run driver Thursday morning in Indio has been identified by the Riverside County Sheriff-Coroner's Bureau.
Anthony Duran, 51, was struck at the intersection of Monroe Street and Avenue 42. It's unclear when he was hit, but he was pronounced dead at 4:53 a.m. Thursday, according to the coroner's bureau.
The driver fled the scene, and Indio police did not release a vehicle description.
