CSUSB Palm Desert Hosts Commencement Ceremony
The annual commencement ceremony will be held on June 15 at The Show.

From CSUSB Palm Desert: California State University, San Bernardino’s Palm Desert Campus will celebrate its annual commencement ceremony on Thursday, June 15 with two major accomplishments – the largest number of graduating students in the campus’s history - 308 - and graduates from its first freshman class.
The 27th annual ceremony will begin at 6 p.m. and will be held at The Show at the Agua Caliente Casino Resort Spa in Rancho Mirage.
Members of the campus’s first freshman class participating in the ceremony will be wearing the same colored cord and will be acknowledged by the dean during the ceremony.

This year’s candidates, many of whom are first-generation college students, include undergraduate and graduate students.
The graduates will be joined by university administrators, faculty, California State University trustees and community leaders.

Special awards will be given to Nicole Phillips for Outstanding Undergraduate Student and Barbara Katic for Outstanding Graduate Student.
Phillips, who lives in Palm Desert, will receive her bachelor’s degree in liberal studies, and is graduating magna cum laude, or with great honor.
Katic, who lives in Palm Desert, will receive her master’s degree in counseling and guidance, as well as a PPS credential.
Both will speak at the ceremony.
Located in beautiful Palm Desert, the CSUSB Palm Desert Campus offers bachelor’s and master’s degrees, a doctorate in educational leadership, and teacher credentials and certificates. With more than 1,400 students, it is the Coachella Valley’s four-year public university and plays a vital role in educating and training the region’s growing population.
