Duke Ellington Tribute Sunday

Los Angeles-based singer Angelo Divino will perform a tribute to Duke Ellington Sunday, featuring songs by the legendary musician and stories told to Divino by Ellington’s sister, Ruth.

The show, titled “Remembering Ruth,” is part of the Sundays in Summer Cabaret series.

“Angelo has a voice and personality that appeals to everyone, but most comment on his ability to tell a story,” said Les Michaels, producer of the series.

The performance is set for 2 p.m. in the Arthur Newman Theatre at The Joslyn Center, 76750 Catalina Way.

Tickets are $11 and must be purchased at the door.
