El Paseo Businesses Get Free PPE Delivered From City
Palm Desert City Council members Gina Nestande and Sabby Jonathan made the personal deliveries.
PALM DESERT, CA — With the stay-at home order lifted in Riverside County and across the state, Coachella Valley restaurants can reopen for outdoor dining. To help get business going while keeping workers safe, on Thursday Palm Desert City Council members Gina Nestande and Sabby Jonathan made deliveries of personal protective equipment to restaurants and retail shops on El Paseo.
Yellow courtesy carts were loaded up at 11 a.m. in the parking lot behind Piero’s PizzaVino and then proceeded down El Paseo making stops at various locations.
Thursday's effort was part of the "Unite Palm Desert" campaign to bring economic relief to local businesses that have been hit hard by COVID-19. To learn more about resources for Palm Desert businesses, click here.
