Free Spring Concerts Continue this Week

Palm Desert's free Spring Concerts in the Park will be every Thursday in May at 7:30 p.m.

From the City of Palm Desert: Enjoy exciting live performances while savoring delectable food truck fare at the Civic Center Park Amphiteater from 7:30 to 9 p.m. every Thursday in May as part of Palm Desert's free Spring Concerts in the Park.

The fun continues May 18 with a performance by Rose's Pawn Shop. This Grammy-nominated Los Angeles-based band blends multi-part vocal harmonies and a high energy alt-rock sensibly with songs inspired by traditional American artists including Johnny Cash, Woody Guthrie, and Hank Williams. Featuring guitars, banjo, upright bass, fiddle, and drums. Rose's Pawn Shop combines rock, country, bluegrass, and punk to create music that is unique, yet familiar.

This year's Spring Concerts, hosted by the City with additional sponsorship from the Desert Recreation District, offer a variety of talented acts designed to please music lovers of all ages and tastes. The concerts will conclude on May 25 with a performance featuring roots-reggae and Arise Roots.

Family YMCA of the Desert will once again be leading children's games and activities before each of the four shows. Concertgoers are encouraged to bring blankets and lawn chairs to enjoy the evening. Alcoholic beverages and smoking are prohibited.
